A beautiful promenade

A Chorus of Men and Women
An Urban ambulation poem
Almost without words
Essentially visual
Therefore universal
Contemporary metaphor on the myth of employment
of its consequences on human relationships
Group movements, phenomena of the masses
repetitive actions,
work rhythms
Tensions, distortions, deformations
For Improved mind format
Infernal paces
so necessary
for profit making matters
Financial profits
moral profits
vital profits
Consumption frenzy
The public is a consumer
a client
a friend
a brother
A past lover
A colleague, a witness, an accomplice
A competitor
An enemy
Doesn’t the end justify the means?
Is it not the solution,
to be happy at someone else’s loss?

Over the years the Businessman’s Suit has become an inevitable uniform of our societies: financiers, industrialists, politicians, lawyers, commercialists, publicists, directors... its everywhere, indispensable, international. Its simple, for extra-terrestrials, it would be the traditional suit of mankind
But is it the man that wears the suit or the suit that wears the man?
What is its suggestive power?
What is its place in our imagination?
What is its role in our collective subconscious?
You’ll know everything and nothing thanks to the Company N° 8.

A project by Alexandre Pavlata and Philippe Ménard
